Seaman's Hall: Green Hive Community Hub

Seaman’s Hall is a welcoming place for the whole community. Outdoor environmental-improvement activities at Green Hive

Supporting cleaner, greener public spaces in Nairn and Nairnshire

Working with partners from across the community, Green Hive provides opportunities for local people to get involved in protecting, restoring and sustainably developing the public spaces and rural habitats of Nairn and Nairnshire. - cultivating skills, building social connections and improving health and wellbeing outcomes for residents and visitors. We regularly organise and participate in community litter-picking sessions (especially along Nairn beach and the River Nairn), as well as tree-planting, food-growing and invasive flora species control initiatives. We also maintain two Community Orchards, and are currently developing a Sensory Wellbeing Garden to the rear of Seaman's Hall. Get in touch if you would like to help with any of these activities

Volunteering at Green Hive

Green Hive offers a wide range of opportunities to get involved.  Our volunteers play pivotal roles in the work we do: providing us with the energy and enthusiasm we need to carry on our work reducing waste, fostering the circular economy and helping to maintain, restore and sustainably develop the public spaces and natural places of Nairn and Nairnshire. Volunteering helps to nurture a strong sense of community, with participants building their own social connections and networks while collaborating and contributing to meaningful local projects. Volunteers support their own personal growth by boosting their feelings of confidence and accomplishment, learning new skills and developing old ones, improving their health and enhancing that all-important sense of wellbeing. Contact us today about becoming a Green Hive volunteer. We'd love to hear from you
