Supporting community-led positive action

We are seeking support from businesses to help improve the local environment, reduce the amount of waste going to landfill and the littering of our countryside in and around Nairn.  We want to do all this while supporting the local community to live more sustainably.

You may think this is a big ask.  However we are already delivering, some highlights of what we've achieved from our 2021 workshop report include:

●      Over 336 hours of volunteering and this was a partial year due to the pandemic form May to December

●      5699 Kg of material was diverted from going to landfill through the workshop or removed from our ecosystem, primarily through beach cleans and litter picks

●      Over 120 unique items were created by the volunteers in the workshop from benches, birdhouses and clocks to tote bags and peg holders

●      We saved 1.7 million litres of water that is used to make new cotton by reclaiming fabric and using this to make new items

●      And over 11 barrels of crude oil that are used to manufacture virgin plastic were reduced by what we recycled in 2021

So who are we?

Supporting a greener outdoors

Green Hive is a local registered Scottish charity tackling environmental issues such as pollution and recycling in Nairn. The climate crisis is now a huge worldwide problem with terrible consequences predicted in years to come. Our mission is to concentrate on providing local solutions to recycling by supporting the local community to “do their bit” whilst demonstrating the local and global impact of their effort to encourage permanent lifestyle changes.

By working together, we can avert this crisis and make Nairn and the world a better place to live.

With your support you can help us to improve Nairn for everyone.

How to get involved

......

We would be delighted to discuss a multi-year sponsorship package at a reduced cost or create a bespoke package to deliver exactly what your company requires for your ESG (Environment, Social and Governance) objectives.

As a local charity, we fully understand that times are tough for us all, so even if you feel you could not commit to a sponsorship package at this stage, there are many other ways you could help us for free such as publicising our work to your staff and clients, running a team-building sponsored challenge or staff fundraising event or showcasing our sale items to raise funds that way.
