Another very successful open event was held at Seaman’s Hall on Thursday 7th April. The consultants, Oberlanders demonstrated how the hall could and hopefully will look in the future. The design is exciting and innovative yet preserves the hall’s heritage.
The renovation, adaptation and reawakening of the hall is a huge venture and not without headaches in terms of cost and timings. But we have ambition and enthusiasm and most of all we are delighted to have support from the community. 85% of you have said you are in support of us taking this project forward. We are indebted to you, the community of Nairn in supporting us and contributing so many creative suggestions.
It will take time and money but hopefully we will restore a building, preserve its heritage, and create a great asset for the community of Nairn. We intend to update you as each step is taken.
